“Spell Slots” is an arcade-shooter in which you play as a bowling ball wizard, your goal being to destroy the approaching enemy pins by hitting them with spell projectiles before they can make it past your line, and to make a high score by making it through all the frames.

Players gain points by destroying enemy pins, and can gain bonus points by shooting on beat to the background music. It takes two shots to destroy an enemy pin, unless you hit the pin with the same element, in which case the spell will instantly destroy the pin and continue onward.  There are four spell types - Water, Earth, Fire, and Air, which correspond to the same four types of enemy pins. Hitting the pin with the Bowling Wizard will also destroy the pin immediately.

The spells that the player fires is determined by a slot machine. When a player fires three spells, the machine will stop spinning, and the three elements that appear on the slot machine determine the next three spells that the player will fire.

The player advances to the next frame by defeating all of the pins in the current frame.  The game ends when the player runs out of all of their lives, or when they finish all 10 frames.

Yo’ Templar here,
while the game can be fun, it’s a tad bit too difficult, the fact that your’ lost lives don’t recover every wave, that the ball is too slow while the enemies can appear anywhere on the lane even at the same time makes you end up spamming the spells, which in turn leads you to see “Out of beat” everytime which there’s no indication of what “beat”, is it the music? or is it a like a score?,
If this is addressed this can turn up quite well.
